NOTD: Butter London, Teddy Girl

I was on a misson to find the perfect creamy pink polish to wear on an everday basis. I have been disapointed with sheer formulas and I wanted something that was opaque! Then one day I was watching one of Tiffanys videos and she was wearing a gorgeuous, pastel pink. It turned out she was wearing Butter Londons Teddy Girl. I knew I had to pick it up but was worried the brand wouldn't be available here. Luckly, there a few stockists and I went with Adore Beauty. Now I must admit, when I first applied it I was disappointed. The first coat went on streaky and thought I had just wasted my money yet again. But I persevered and continued on, the second coat was better but still a bit streaky, so I went for a third and it turned out to be the colour I was hoping for! To get a nice finish you have to work with it a bit. I recommend using a good base coat and doing three, thin coats then a top coat! Even though its not the easiest polish to apply, I still absolutley love it!! The colour is
perfect and I would definitely purchase it again (unless I find something else more amazing-I hear esssies Fiji is good?).  I also LOVE the Butter London packaging! I have a few other polishes by Butter London (so does D) which we also adore, so if you want to see them let us know! Pictures below!

MAC Casual Color: Lip and Cheek Color in Relaxation

I recently made a MAC purchase online and of course I purchased the product I'd been craving since the Casual Color Collection was released: The Casual Color Lip and Cheek Color in Relaxation!! I love this product ! It is a really pretty dusty pink / cool mauve color, which looks great on both the lip and cheek! It really looks natural and 'casual' when wearing it on both the lip and cheek. I really love wearing Relaxation as a blush as it looks very natural, it just gives you that  light and natural flush of color! When wearing it on the lips it is the perfect light pink, it is not to dark or light and goes really well with my skin tone.

The formulation is really creamy and when wearing it on the lips it keeps them moisturized and soft. I was worried that when wearing Relaxation as a blush it would leave my cheeks looking shiny/oily, but that wasn't the case at all! I stayed really well on my cheeks and just left a natural look with no shine!! I just can't get over how natural and light this product feels! I can definitely see my self just wearing Relaxation as a blush and lip color, with a tad of mascara, I'll be good to go! I would definitely recommend buying a Casual Lip and Cheek Color, I really want to pick up some more!  It is definitely a perfect product for those 'Casual' days!

Nails: Nubar Gem

Gem is a nail polish by Nubar and is part of their Prisms Collection, which was released sometime last year. I  first saw this polish when FleurDeForce mentioned it on her Youtube Channel and as soon as I saw it i knew i had to have it!!

This polish is a light taupe color with a hint of mauve and has gorgeous holographic shimmer. I just love how fun this color is! It does take a few coats to become opaque and takes a little while to dry. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat to help speed up the drying process and also give the polish an amazing shine which helps bring out the holographic glitter even more!  Nubars Gem is such a pretty color, and I would definitely recommend it to all!

I purchased my bottle at Feel Unique -   http://www.feelunique.com/ (Free International Shipping!!!!)

Nail: Touch of Red (M.A.C Hey Sailor Collection)

When I heard about the M.A.C Hey Sailor Collection I knew I had to pick up a few things! One of the things I purchased was the Nail Lacquer called "Touch of Red". Touch of Red is the first M.A.C Nail Lacquer that i have used and i can officially say that I'm impressed!

This Polish is a great red! Its shiny, glossy and i love the way it looks. I feel like its a very classy and sophisticated color!  It does take a few coats to become completely opaque, but this polish has exceptional shine and gloss.I didn't experience any streaking, and the polish lasted 3 days before i experienced any sign of chipping. Of course a great top coat plays a huge role in this, I used the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Polish. On the M.A.C website it states that this Nail Polish has UV Protection and conditioners, this can only be a positive :) !

Overall I love this polish and if you can get your hands on it I highly recommend it!!
You can Purchase 'Touch of Red' on The M.A.C Website and at MAC Counters at David Jones and Myer.
LOVE D!

Favourite M.A.C Products!

I have been meaning to write this post for weeks now, but D & I have been so busy studying and taking our semster 1 exams. Finally they are all over and we can (hopefully!) get into a better routine with posting! So as the title states, this post will be on my favourite M.A.C cosmetics products. I discovered M.A.C a couple of years ago and it has definitely become one of my favourite brands. The products that I will talk about are well known cult favourites so I'm sure many of you have heard about them before! This is quite a long post (oops!) so grab yourself a coffee and read on :) Pics, swatches, prices and where to buy below!

Ladyblush blushcreme is a huge, huge favourite of mine! As you can see in the photos I've hit pan on it. Also please excuse the mess I've made of it but you can tell its a much loved product! I decided to check this blush out because youtuber Megan loved and talked about it so much. I ended up getting it and it's gorgeous. Its a medium pink colour that really makes you look healthy and naturally flushed. Its a true cream finish so it doesn't dry to a powder like some, its applies beautifully on the skin and gives a fresh, dewy look. Its super easy to blend and won't smudge your foundation underneath. Most of the time I like to apply it with my fingers with dabbing motions, but I also like to use my flat foundation brush if I'm in a rush and can't be bothered getting my fingers dirty. M.A.C had reformulated the blushcremes and changed the name to cremeblend. I am a little sad because I went on their website and couldn't find any cream blushes at all except one from the shop cook collection. It seems that M.A.C have discontinued cream blushes altogether. I really hope this isn't the case because I ablsolutely love this one and wanted to try more.

Ok, now onto eyeshadows! M.A.C is famous for the massive range of shadows and I've got to say i'm a fan. In Australia, M.A.C eyeshadows are $36 in the pot and $26 in the pan, so of course I went for the cheaper option and to be honest I like pan form better. The first two colours I ever bought were All That Glitters and Mulch, because I wanted a lid colour and a crease colour. At the time, you could only by pan shadows at a M.A.C pro store, I went to the one in Chapel St and I prefer going there over counters because the staff and MUAs are so friendly and helpful. Now you can buy the pan shadows online however I've never actually ordered online from M.A.C before but next time I want something I think I will. All That Glitters is a shimmery champagne with pinky-peach undertones and its beautiful for a wash of shimmer on the eyes. I've hit pan on it too.  Mulch is a warm brown with fine gold sparkle and I LOVE this colour. I love it smudged on the lower lashline or around the enitre eye. I think this really brings out the warmth of brown eyes (which I have) and gives them a richness. Satin Taupe is a plum toned brownish-grey with a metalic finish. Its super easy to blend (as with most M.A.C shadows). I like to wear this in the crease or even a lid colour if I want a darker eye for night time. Finally, Woodwinked is an amazing golden brown, more on the gold side. This is THE most pigmented shade I have. It has a true metalic gold finish and its silky smooth to apply. I love my neutral, wearable shades as you can tell and I found that all these shades work really well together to create countless combinations of looks. The quad palette is from the M.A.C pro store also.

Bare Study paint pot was the first thing I ever purchased from M.A.C. I picked up Bare Study because I knew it would look gorgeous on its own and doubled as a base for other shadows. The colour is a shimmery ice-gold chamapagne and its really creamy and pigmented. I love this on its own or undeath other shadows. My second paint pot is Painterly, which is a matte beige toned colour. To be honest, this was kind of an impulse purchase, well I had heard a lot about it before and I wanted a skin colour base. I was at a M.A.C counter and just decided to get it, I didn't even look at the one on display! When I first swatched it when I got home I was a bit disappointed because it looked like a grey-pink on my skin. I have yellow, warmer undertones so it really stood out as pink toned on my hand. However, I was determined to make it work and when I applied it to my eyes I actaully really liked the way it looked! The pink undertones actually brightened up my eyes and its really great for a natural look, because it evens out the eyelids really well. In the summer when I'm quite tan this does come across as a bit grey because my natural tan is more olive but in the winter its a perfect shade and its sooo creamy! Its also really great as a base for all shadows but I especially love it underneath matte shades. When I finish this I might give Soft Orchere a go as it seems more suited to my colouring. I have my eye on Rubenesque, Indianwood and Blackground as well! I really recommend these beause your really getting a colour and base in one and they don't crease! (at least on me!)

And last but not least, I couln't not put this is my favourites even though its a basic essential! The Mineralise Skin Finish Naturals have been had a lot of hype in the beauty community and I just had to try it. I actually picked mine up at the M.A.C counter at the Changi Airport in Singapore, I had time to kill and was in need of a new powder. I got matched to Light Medium which is my perfect winter/autum/early spring shade. However in the summer I don't like to wear a lot of  makeup anyway on a day to day basis, so a light dusting of this set my tinted moisturiser and didn't wash me out. This powder is finely milled and pressed for convience as most mineral products are loose. It has a fine shimmer to it but doesn't transfer on the face as sparkly at all, but I have heard it doesn't photograph well with quality cameras and flash. I dust this over my foundation to set it or buffed in for more coverage. As you can see, I've used quite a bit and the dome has been worn down. I really love this powder for daily wear because it helps my foundation stay put, doesn't look cakey or powdery even when you touch it up through out the day and has just enough coverage.
