Rimmel, Maybelline & Simple: The mini Haul

I popped into k-mart and Priceline the other day and picked up a small *pats self on back* selection of goodies. I picked up the Simple eye makeup remover in the travel size because I needed something to help budge waterproof mascara (not bad so far but not that great either). I got two Rimmel items, first a Kate moss lipstick. I have been wanting to try these for a while now and got mine in number 60. I also got one of their blushes in 'Berry' because it reminded me of Nars Doucer, which I've been resisting due to the fairly hefty price tag. Finally I got a black Maybelline gel liner which I'm excited to test out!

Lancome | The Haul

I recently went shopping in Melbourne and I stopped by the Beauty Department in Myer. Myer had lots of Christmas sets left in many brands and some of them had amazing discounts. As I was walking past the Lancome counter I saw a sign saying "30%  Off Lancome Christmas Sets"! There was 4 different sets on sale, I looked at all of them carefully and i decided to purchase the "Chic and Sophisticated Eyes" set. I decided to go with this set firstly because it contained the mascara I had been lusting over ever since it came out, The Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara! This mascara is amazing I have already used it multiple times and I can defiantly say it was worth the purchase! It makes my lashes really long without any clumps and I love the shape of the brush, it makes it very easy to get mascara on every lash! The second reason I decided to go for this set is the eyeshadow, it is in the shade 'Cuban Light' and is a really nice wearable colour. The third and most important reason I decided to buy this set is the price! This set was discounted from about $72 down to just $48! I was so happy when I saw this becasue I'm pretty sure the Lancome mascaras alone in Australia cost $52 and I was getting the mascara, eyeshadow and a mini eyeliner for just $48! If you can track down any of these Lancome Christmas sets in your local Myer I would defiantly recommend buying one! Pictures and swatches of the set I bought are below!

Lush Popcorn lip scrub: The Review

The Lush lip scrubs have been very popular over the past year or two and as usual I wanted to get my hands -or you know, lips- on it. I had always eyed off the bubblegum flavour but at the end of most of my Lush trips, the very, very small sensible part of me says, "do you really need to spend that extra $9.95 on a pot of sugar? DO you?"

But, as one of my Christmas gifts last year, I received this little jar of gold from Darcie (thank you!). This one is called 'Popcorn' and claims to be a 'blockbuster success' with a 'buttery, caramel taste'. Now let me tell you, this tastes and smells INCREDIBLE. Seriously yum. 10 out of 10 in that field. As for effectiveness, it doesn't disappoint. A swipe of this on your lips paired with little circular motions and a good lip rubbin' will have them soft and flake free. The only downside to this product is that it can get a bit messy, but I'm not too fussed about that. This gem and a good lipbalm will be my essential combo to fight chapped winter lips in the coming months! If you have a lovely lipbalm -high or low end- recommendation, leave a comment below!I have been especially curious about Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, so if you've tried it let me know.

Nars Orgasm Illuminator: The review

Nars Orgasm blush has to be one of the most talked about beauty products out there. I own the blush in a duo with Angelika and love that gold flecked peachy glow. When I saw the illuminator on one of Carly Cristmans videos literally a couple of years ago I fell in love. I picked up this product quite a while ago, the end of 2011 I think.

I ordered it online from Mecca and was disappointed at the fact that the tube wasn't filled to capacity but oh well what can you do? It was pretty pricey and I used it quite sparingly. I didn't want to waste an expensive product so it ended up being put in the back of my drawer until I rediscovered it this summer.

This is a really beautiful highlight and gives a warm peach glow. The perfect compliment to a summer tan. I'm loving this at the moment and going through a bronzy peach phase in my  summer makeup look. I love using my healthy mix foundation mixed with my moisturiser for a sheer effect, a light dusting of my Natio mineral powder foundation to set, layering my Topshop neon rose blush and Legendary blush from MAC, Nars laguna to contour my face and through my crease with MAC woodwinked as well, mascara, a dab of this illuminator across the cheekbones and lastly my Nars lipstick in Barbarella (post soon on that!).

Priceline Haul | January 2013

I recently went shopping at Priceline and I was lucky enough to find a few things I have been wanting for a while, on sale! My most exciting purchase was the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. This is my first Color Tattoo and I'm very excited to use it, as I have heard only great things about them. I am also excited about using the Lanolips Products, as I saw that FleurDeForce mentioned a Lanolips product in one of her recent Videos. I also picked up some nail clippers as I was in need of some new ones and I also decided to try out some of the Bourjois mini nail polishes!
Hope you enjoy this haul!
