Neon Rose Topshop blush!

We were SO excited to hear that Topshop in Chapel St Melbourne had opened. I had heard so much about the store from bloggers and vloggers all around the world and was so happy that they opened one nearby. D, myself and another friend hopped on a tram to Chapel st to have a look. I was really curious about the cosmetics range as I've heard great things about some of the products, especially the blushes and lipticks (which I want to pick up next!).
So I after some umming and ahhing, I purchased the cream blush in Neon Rose. The first time I saw  this was on one of Tanya Burrs vids link! from last year, I absolutely love this look! She also uses the Topshop lipstick I want to try Infared.

First off, I really like the packaging! Its a pretty white compact with black polka dots and theres a mirror inside which is very handy! It feels really sturdy and not at all cheap. It feels similar to the Nars rubberised packaging which I like, although it can get dirty easily and be bit hard to clean.

This blush is a cream to powder formula, which has a velvety finish. The colour is bright (hence the name!), and looks so fresh on the skin, I can't wait to wear this in the summer! I know that its currently summer in the northern hemisphere so I suggest you check this out for a fun summer blush! It stays on the skin for a good amount of time since it dries to a powder finish. I think this would look so lovely on tan or darker skintones especially, because it really gives a brightness to the complexion. But in saying that it also seems to complement my paler winter skin. The neon peachy colour has a slight pink undertone to it, which makes it look so flattering. Its really pigmented, so you could have a really bright cheek or apply less for a subtle pop of colour. Over all, I really love the colour and formulation of this blush. If your having a dull skin day, this blush will defintely give you the boost you need! Can't wait to try more Topshop cosmetics! Pics and swatches below.

Bloom Cosmetics Blotting Paper

I just thought I would do a quick mid-week post on one of my favourite products at the moment! For a while I have been looking for Blotting Paper that is readily available in Australia that isn't ridiculously over priced.
I was shopping on Adore Beauty one day when I came across the Bloom Blotting Paper. I love other Bloom products, especially their Boost Lip Balms, so I decided to give their Blotting Paper a go!

I am so happy I purchased this Blotting Paper! It easily removes oil from my skin, helping me achieve a matte look without having to carry powder and a brush with me! The packaging is small and discrete, making it easy to put in any purse or bag. Also I love the smell, they have a lavender smell that I really like! I also purchased a pack of The Bloom Blotting Paper for my friend, who also really likes them! I would definitely recommend buying the Bloom Blotting Paper if you have a problem with excess oil on your skin!  The Blotting Paper by Bloom Cosmetics is $9.95(aud) and can be purchased from Adore Beauty and all Bloom Cosmetics Counters.

Nars Laguna Bronzer!

Nars Laguna bronzer has to be one of the most hyped up products in the beauty community and since I love bronzer I thought I would give it a try. As most of you know, cosmetics are very over priced here so I really didn't want to pay $55 dollars for it. Luckily, Nars came out with a limited edition set which included full size Laguna, Angelika & Orgasm duo and Copacabana multiple, score!  (btw there will be posts coming up on all those products, so look forward to those!) I think I paid around $80-$90 for the set and I got it at Mecca Cosmetica, it came out quite a while ago last year I believe but Nars are always coming out with great sets so keep your eyes peeled! haha. So onto my thoughts!

As it was so hyped up, I had high expectations and honestly, I was not disappointed. The colour is the perfect natural brown with golden tones, which I think goes well with my yellow/olive undertones. It  doesn't look muddy or orange at all on me, it just looks lovely. It does have shimmer, but its super finely milled and creates an illuminating effect rather than glitter particles.

I really love the texture of this product, its a velvety powder thats so smooth to apply. Its not chalky and blends in to the skin really well, rather than sitting on the surface.
Overall, it has definitely lived up to my expectations and beyond. I really love it and have had it for a fair while so I've given a good test run :) (I'm actaully really suprised I haven't hit pan yet!)

enjoy, B x

MAC Tendertones: Tread Gently & Purring

The MAC Tendertones are part of the Shop MAC, Cook MAC Collection, which came out earlier this year. I love the MAC Tendertones and I really wish they were part of the permanent collection. I love the fruity scent that they have, it is like a strawberry, watermelon, kiwi scent that reminds me of summer. The Tendertones are extremely moisturizing and leave the lips with a glossy finish. They also contain SPF 12 making it perfect for the summer, protecting your lips while looking great! I was lucky enough to pick up 2 of the 4 MAC Tendertones earlier in the year, Tread Gently and Purring.

Tread Gently is a sheer yellow balm that contains micro-shimmer. This is my favorite and most used Tendertone, as it is very wearable while still looking nice. As with all the Tendertones, the smell is amazing and it leaves your lips extremely moisturized. I also put Tread Gently on every night before bed as it leaves my lips soft and nourished for when I wake up in the morning.

Purring is a orange colored balm, that when on the lips is a peachy, tangerine color. Although it looks really bright in the jar, it is very sheer on the lips, making it a really wearable lip balm. The smell is of course amazing and again it leaves my lips soft and nourished.

The MAC Tendertones are one of my favourite lip products ever and I would definitely recommend purchasing them if you get the chance! Hopefully MAC will bring them out in a limited edition collection soon or even better add them to the permanent collection.
